The Couponizer
The Couponizer is the creation of Amy Bergin,a stay-at-home mother of three who was determined to make the family's single income go further. The concept is simple - consumers will utilize more coupons if they have an easy way to organize, store and access them as they shop.
Though the Couponizer had gotten a great response to the Couponizer everywhere she'd shown it off, it wasn't until the product's national, televised debut on QVC that the full potential was realized. Bergin's inventory of Couponizers sold out in 7 minutes; and she took hundreds of back-orders. The Couponizer was chosen as one of the top 100 Product Search Discoveries in 10 years of QVC .
"Spending is a skill; and like any skill, you must work at it to improve," says company president Bergin. "Shoppers are desperate for a way to get their spending under control as they plan their meals and trips to the grocery - and that includes getting the most out of their coupons."
Today, it's all Bergin can do to keep up with the response she's gotten on the product. From a deluge of personal testimonials to the endorsement from national non-profits, the Couponizer is already making an impact.
The Couponizer includes:
- A built-in shopping list, which 56% of consumers use every time they go to the grocery store according to the Food Marketing Institute
- The CoupTracker pad for recording spending and savings
- The CoupStacker, which has 18 grocery coupon pockets organized according to the layout of the grocery store, plus five other pockets for restaurant, home goods and furnishings, or auto care discounts
- A "checkout" pocket for gathering and using coupons during shopping trips
The Couponizer kit also comes with a pair of scissors, a user guide and a carrying bag. Go to www.thecouponizer.com for the latest on this coupon innovation.
